Cross stitch mini kits for sale.

Hello every one!
As you have already read in my previous blog post we recently had our flat painted.
And that gave us a chance for decluttering, destashing, donating, giving away, throwing away things.
So I came to realise that there are things that I have too many and too little time to make or do. So I decided to give it a try and sell some things on facebook and through my blog.
This first sale is for cross stitchers I guess since all of the items are mini cross stitch kits that were given for free on magazines that I had bought years ago. I have way too many to make them all so maybe some of you might like them.
All kits include chart page cut from the magazine, fabric(usually aida) and thread and needle. Some also include a card and an envelope and some others include coasters and notebooks.
You can see the price on the photos. All prices are in dollars and include registered postage. Only paypal please. If anyone is interested in any of the items do let me know via e-mail , or a comment on this blogpost. My e-mail is ariadnesky(at)hotmail(dot)com and I will need your e-mail to make a request  on paypal. I will combine postage if you want more than one sets.First come first served of course! Thank you!
3 coasters, 2 kits one empty.

May the month of the rehabilitation centre

Hi there everyone! It's been a long time again, I know. And although it is the end of June I still haven't blogged about May!
Remember where you left me last month? My mum was still in hospital but was to be submitted to a rehabilitation centre. It was the beginning of May.
We spent May the 1st and three more days in hospital.

The last days in hospital I took my macro lens and took close ups in nature.

My mum was submitted in the rehabilitation centre the first week of May and she is still there. And we have been visiting her many times a week.Hence the title of this blog post.
As the rehabilitation centre is far away from the city it takes quite some time to go there, stay the visiting hours and come back. It's a beautiful place with a beautiful garden. And breathtaking views all around. I just wish my mum could appreciate them.Doctors and nurses are very nice and treat her very well. Her progress is slow but steady.

I loved those fish looking clouds I spotted one day in the sky.
So you can understand May was a very difficult time for us.
My mum didn't show quick recovery and did not seem to be fighting to stand up and walk or move. Her general health was ok but she could not walk or move her right hand. We visited her everyday alternatively with my sister-in-law and brother.
That didn't leave us enough time or energy for much else. But still we did other things in May too.
We visited two shadow puppetry events. First the exhibition of shadow puppets in the Museum of Macedonian Struggle. You can see very beautiful shadow puppets there of the historical Greek shadow puppetry.

One of the exhibits belongs to us, it is Konstantinos Kougioumtzis'  painting of Karaghiozis as a Macedonian struggle warrior.
The exhibition continues as far as I know.
We also went to see a performance by Agapios Agapiou.
May included something very important too. I was chosen to attend the Second Level of Information Technology Course for Teachers. So twice a week in the afternoons I attended the lessons in the University campus. That wouldn't be possible if my sister-in-law didn't offer to visit my mum at those afternoons and so I was free to attend the course which was very demanding too as we had to present essays as well.

The view from the top of the building at the University campus is magnificent.
In May my niece Ellie visited us at some point for a few days but we didn't spend as much time as we would like with her.At least we walked the seafront together and had pizza and pavlova near the White Tower.

What else did we do in May?
Of course we walked Barca at the seafront.

 and in parks

We had some rehearsals with the drama team.
We went to the International Book Fair and here are some of the things we got for free there.Fridge magnets and bookmarks from China, the honourary country, pins and pens and pencils.
Also some books and magazines.
And most importantly I bought a book and had it signed by its author Pascal Bruckner.
In May we celebrated mother's day at the rehab with mum.

In May it was my son's 22nd birthday.Sweetie be happy always!Never lose that smile.
 I made him a pavlova.
In May friends visited my mum,too
In May I attended a wire doll making seminar by Yiota at Koumbi Coffee and Crafts cafe which was really nice.
Here's the doll I made. The pink necklace next to it is from my friend Efi!Thank you dear!
With school we went to the park one day and it was so relaxing.
Another day the municipality orchestra came to show us the musical instruments

We also went on a day trip at Kavalari village.

The weather had its ups and downs during May as usual.
One day rainy.
 One day windy
Rainy again
 Sunny

And a huge rainbow

In May I had coffee with friends
In May we had more medical tests. There are still more to be done.
We took Barca to see our friend's school. She really loved it there.

In May I spotted this beautiful door at the neighbourhood
And one day I saw this magical rainfall of flowers.

And look how the street looks.
In May I read
and
I loved the second book.
I didn't stitch at all in May but I got my finished Snowflower Diaries SAL calendar back from the seamstress.I still have to find the proper ironware for hanging it on the wall.
In the end of May we had our flat painted at last after so many years! We emptied the walls and most of the smaller items.

Everything had to be taken to my mum's flat as long as she wasn't there.I am glad she cannot see this mess in her flat!
My craft boxes!
Barca wasn't really happy with all the mess ether.

But the painters were really fast and they finished in just one and a half days! And yes I changed the colours. No more pinks and fuchsia for the bedroom. All the flat is very light grey and in each bedroom there is a light blue wall.

Of course Themis helped to fix the blue kitchen wall!
It's the end of June now and I am still cleaning, decluttering, tidying and destashing the newly painted flat! But that's a story for the June blog post!
Hope I will write it soon!
